Welcome to the 2018 Dave MacDonald Haltemprice 10K.  This year’s 32nd running of the race, renamed in honour of its founder, Dave MacDonald of Haltemprice RRC, is brought to you by LKR Events in collaboration with Kingston upon Hull AC & City of Hull AC.

Enclosed is your race number and timing chip along with a course map. Please note the new start time of 10am for this year. If you have transferred your entry it is your responsibility to send the number to the new runner. Numbers are non transferable after Wednesday 24 October.

We are grateful to Haltemprice Leisure Centre for hosting us again. 

Car Parking & Directions

Limited Car Parking is available here (weather may limit how limited!).  Please access the car parking from Gorton Road and follow marshals directions onto the field area and DO NOT park in the general car park as the agreement is to allow this for regular users of the Leisure Centre.  Please car share as much as possible.  There is also ample cycle parking here and bus services. If required, additional parking can be found at the King George V playing fields (on Beverley Rd, Kirk Ella) or the retail park on Springfield Way with some on street parking.  The address for the Leisure Centre is:  Springfield Way, Anlaby, Hull HU10 6QJ.  Access to the car park from Gorton Road.

Start & finish on South Ella Way, approx 500 metres from the Leisure Centre.  Do NOT park on the street at the start/finish, thank you.

Changing

Toilets and showers are in the leisure centre with free admission for competitors on production of race number.

Helpdesk

A helpdesk will be available in the Main Hall from 9am on race day

Refreshments

We have arranged an early café opening in the Haltemprice Leisure Centre from 8:30am.  Please use the main hall once you’ve made your purchase.

Race Number

Please complete the details on the reverse in the event of an emergency. Do not cut or deface your number and always wear it on the front of your running top, clearly visible. Numbers are non transferable after Wednesday 24 October. Note No entries on the day

First Aid cover

North East Medics will be present on the day in the event you need medical attention

During the Race

  1. Follow the instructions of the race marshals at all times
  2. Run on the left hand side of the road.  Runners will be directed to the right hand side between 4 and 5km and front runners approx 6.5-7.5km
  3. Markers are in place each kilometre
  4. There will be lead and back marker cyclists
  5. Drinks will be provided at the halfway point

At the Finish

  1. Please continue through the funnel in finishing order
  2. Drinks will be available beyond the finishing funnel along with your race momento
  3. Once finished please do not return though the finish area but head to the Leisure Centre after cheering in other runners

Prizes, Presentations and Results

Prizes will be presented approximately 11:45pm at Haltemprice Leisure Centre in the main hall. Prices will be awarded to the top 5 male and female and top 3 in age of the following categories: 20 and Under male and female; Vet 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 male and female.
