At City of Hull Athletics Club, we welcome people of all abilities. If you would like to join us for one of our training sessions, please come along to one of the venues listed below.

If you are thinking of joining, please come and have a couple of test 'runs' at any of our training sessions, as a try before you join.

If you wish to continue to enjoy our training sessions, then all that is required is that you become a first/second claim member by joining the club.

Monday - Speed Session


Humber Bridge Car Park

Speed workout for runners of all abilities. Session changes weekly to incorporate timed laps

Tuesdays - Club Night


Warners Gym

At least two groups, running between 4 and 7 miles, paces between 7:45 and 11:00 miles.

Wednesday - Track Training

18:00 + 19:00

Costello Stadium

Run by qualified endurance coach Derek Ricketts with all abilities catered for. Track fees payable on the night.

Thursday Off Road


Various - See specific training page

Monthly off road series, location varies. Start points include Skidby, Welton, Elloughton. See Facebook for details.

Friday Morning - Cross Country Run


Green Dragon Welton

Relaxed to moderate pace cross country run with a variety of 5-9-mile routes over 60-90 minutes.

Friday Evening - Hill Work Training


Various - See specific training page

Hill session for all abilities. Each week the hill work will be different and published in advance on Facebook and on the City of Hull website.

Sunday - Marathon Training


Haltemprice Leisure Center

Your long run meet up with like minded runners getting ready for London or similar timed marathon.

Sunday - Cross Country Beverley Clump


Summer Meet - Beverley Clump

Distances of 8-12 miles. Meeting at Beverley Clump, top of the hill out of South Cave.

Sunday - Cross Country Brantingham Dale


Winter Meet - Brantingham Dale
